Nvidia settings get reset

After I set up my Nvidia settings by doing 'sudo nvidia-settings' in the terminal and saving the configuration to x.org/conf, I reboot my PC and the nvidia settings are reset. But after typing sudo nvidia-settings in the terminal my nvidia settings return to the correct colors.

How do I keep the settings after turning off the PC?

I fixed it by adding a command in the start-up sessions.

I added the following;

nvidia-settings --load-config-only

This is for Nvidia Geforce 6100.
