NTFS external won't mount
I have installed the ntfs-linux thing, and I keep trying to mount a very large NTFS drive onto my kubuntu machine. I don't want to lose whats on there, it is some very important stuff. When I try to mount it I get:
An error occurred while enabling /Pelican. The system reported: mount: wrong fs type, bad option, bad superblock on /dev/sda1, missing codepage or other error In some cases useful info is found in syslog - try dmesg | tail or so I can't figure it out. NC |
Lets see if it is seen correctly.
Use the command as root and post output. fdisk -l Where is this ntfs-linux thing you got? How was it installed? What instructions did you follow? What mount command are you using? Brian1 |
