Network connection in ubuntu 8.10


Hi,
Can anyone tell how to connect to internet in ubuntu 8.10(desktop).
Dial up connection with DSL(PPPoE).

Open up a terminal and run sudo pppoeconf. This will walk you through setting up your PPPoE connection. See this from the Ubuntu wiki:

Hook up the DSL modem via ethernet if you can. It will be easier to setup and run better than hooking it up via usb.
