I've been trying for 2 days to get file sharing working between my 2 machines, both running Xubuntu 7.10. I currently have the files shared on what is to become my server through NFS, which I accomplished by going to System->Shared Folders. I added the share, told it to use NFS, and everything seems ok on that side, but I cannot for the life of me figure out how to get to the shares from my laptop. Username and passwords are the same on both machines, but I don't know how to view the network in Xubuntu. I went to the Ubuntu site and it said to go Places->Network, but that doesn't show up under my places. Thanks!
