3 good ways to help yourself:

1) RTFM (http://www.ubuntuguide.org/)

2) Search on this website

3) Use Google

Then ask questions...enjoy!

You may have to use a program called "Ndiswrapper". Strangely enough, when I installed Ubuntu on my laptop, it automatically detected my wireless card(dlink) and I was able to get online.

As a new user, you WILL run into problems attempting to get this to work. Rip, tear, stretch, and bumble your way through Linux, it is the only way to learn....and ask questions, of course.

Linux drivers for that chipset do exist. You can fnd them on opendrivers.com:

http://www.opendrivers.com/categoryc...-download.html

However, I don't know if you will be able to get them to work. I am running debian etch 2.6.16-2-486, and I can not get them to compile.
