Please Help in installing Linux on my HP Pavilion dv5-1106ax laptop.

I want to install Linux on my laptop.

My laptop configuration :
Model : dv5 1106ax
Processor : AMD Turion X2 64bit
Graphics card : ATI Radeon Mobility HD 3450 (512Mb memory)
Memory : 3Gb

Can u please suggest me which distro of linux will support completely for my laptop ?

should i go for Ubuntu 9.04 Notebook remix or AMD 64 desktop version?

I am not sure Notebook Remix support AMD 64 bit with ATI radeon graphics card.

Please guide me with post installation steps for graphics and sound configurations.

you pick which ever distro you like the look of, and as for instructions, that's what an installer is for. download image, burn image, boot image, follow installer.

And there's no Notebook remix. It's a Netbook remix, i.e. for those shitty little laptops like the asus eee.
