Go to the site off medibuntu and follow the instructions to get the repositories off it and just install the dvd codecs and job done .
You can play DVD.

As long as you are now able to play DVDs, you may want to give the xine player a try. It works very well for DVDs and even gives you the same menu that you would get if you played the DVD on a DVD player on your television.
Simply install xine-ui from the software center, synaptic, or with apt-get.

And get rid of that Interactual spyware crap on your Windows system!
This is yet another advantage of using Linux over Windows. You never have to deal with offensive and hostile software like that!
