Mplayer Website

Does anybody know if mplayer's website is down? When I try going to, www.mplayerhq.hu/, I get error message, the connection was refused.

I had this listed in my sources.list file...

deb ftp://ftp.nerim.net/debian-marillat/ stable main
deb ftp://ftp.nerim.net/debian-marillat/ unstable main
deb ftp://ftp.nerim.net/debian-marillat/ testing main

and when I update it, I get this error message...

W: You may want to run apt-get update to correct these problems

Also when I run mplayer, I get this message...

$ gmplayer

Any suggestions/ideas on fixing this?

Thnx.

Re the website being down: I noticed got connection refused messages too, but was able to access the mirrors, e.g. http://www2.mplayerhq.hu. Try that.

Your apt-get errors are becuase you do not have the GPG key.

Unofficial Debian Packages,
Quote:
Apparently you have never noticed but my packages can be checked with apt-check-sigs only with apt-get 0.5.x as explained here (chapter 7.4.3)

Here is my fingerprint :
1D7F C53F 80F8 52C1 88F4 ED0B 07DC 563D 1F41 B907

To import my key from a GPG server :
gpg --keyserver hkp://wwwkeys.eu.pgp.net --recv-keys 1F41B907

With apt-get >= 0.6 (the unstable version) do the following (sudo is needed) :
gpg --armor --export 1F41B907 | sudo apt-key add -

If you don't use sudo, do the following under root :
gpg --armor --export 1F41B907 | apt-key add -

Thnx Craigevil, I had to use this from the link you posted and it fixed the gpg part.

Code:
With apt-get >= 0.6 (the unstable version) do the following (sudo is needed) :
gpg --armor --export 1F41B907 | sudo apt-key add -
Any ideas on why my mplayer not working?

It seems like you have an older version of Mplayer. Mine is 1.0pre7-3.4.1 and does not seem to have an mplayer.conf file. There is however a .mplayer directory in my home directory.

If you cannot update from a mirror you might be able to tinker with the conf file to find the offending line. Make a backup copy, remove lines from the file, see what happens, copy back the original, remove other lines...........
