Mplayer PlugIn WMV problem

I am running the Mplayer Plugin in Firefox. Where as before I was sure I was able to stream WMV files from websites it no longer works. I have uninstalled and re-installed.

All I get is the buffer bar which downloads from 0 to 100% as normal but when it starts to play the screen is blank.... the timer bar moves on as normal.

Any ideas? I am puzzled. I am running Dapper BTW.

Well, can you attend CNN or the BBC's website and watch vedio fromthere. Are you just having problems with this one website? Or are you having problems with many. Do you have the win32 codecs installed? If not then you can obtain the .deb file from the net.

No..on BBC site...plugin loads and then nothing... although on occasion I do get a WMV to run in the plugin.

What is my best method for loading the win32 codecs?
