Smile Mozilla and terminal starting everytime i boot ubuntu.


Hi all,

I noticed this since yesterday, everytime i boot my Ubuntu 8.0 - Hardy on my laptop and login, an instance of mozilla and a terminal window starts!! How do i stop this?

System > Preferences > Sessions > Startup Programs

See what's listed there. You can uncheck applications that you don't want to start at boot-up.

I once had this problem, it is surprisingly simply to solve.
Quit all applications, and then log out. Do not reboot, but only end your session.
If you log on again nothing should start anymore.

I checked this, but didn't find Mozilla or Terminal.

Solved:

Problem solved: I renamed a file called session to session.old under ~/.gnome2/ . Logout and login solved the problem.
