Thanks for your reply
I'm quite sure I did not change any such preference; where would I find it anyway? Not in the mouse preferences...

Cheers!

Found it: the mouse pointer preferences are not in System->Preferences->Mouse, but in System->Preferences->Customize->Pointers. I would call that hidden A shortcut to the pointers from Mouse would not be bad.

I am also trying to change my mouse pointer and I am using version 8.04. I may be a few months late to this posting however, nowhere is there an option called >Customize on my Preferences menu. I have looked everywhere to enable this menu item and it simply doesn't exist. Can someone please help with a non-cryptic explanation, as I am a new user?

Thanks

Hey, took me a little while to figure it out too.

Click System > Preferences > Appearance

Then select your current theme and click the Customize button at the bottom of the window.

The last tab on the new "Customize Theme" window that pops open is Pointer.

Hope that helps.
