Mounting new ext3 partition

Hi,

I first had a ntfs parition. I used gparted to remove that parition and create a new ext3 parition instead. My problem is that I cannot acces that newly created parition, so I can't write to it and it isn't shown when I click on places>computer. Now logically it means that it isn't mounted, but in gparted when I right click on the partition there is a greyed out ''unmount'', so no mount option. Any ideas on how to solve this problem?

Thanks

Have you formatted it yet?
Need exact detail of system drive setup to help.
Post output from the command ' /sbin/fdisk -l '. Must be done as root. Point out what is what on your systems.
Also post contents of the file /etc/fstab

The Ubuntu repositories have a package "psydm" which can be installed with Synaptic. It shows up in System-> Administration-> "Storage Device Management." This will allow give you a GUI interface to configure mounting parameters and to perform mounts directly.
