Make custom Karmic LiveCD/DVD

I just upgraded to Karmic recently and it seems to be good. However, I cannot make a LiveCD/DVD easily anymore. I usually use Remastersys, but that does not work, since things changed in Karmic from Jaunty. I have also tried UCK, which did not work and tried looking for Reconstructor, which does not exist as a desktop program anymore. As a result, I tried following this guide, but I can't generate the iso. How can I make a LiveCD, so I don't need to install eveything again or worry about needing to add debian packages to a list for aptonCD?

maybe try bootcd-backup?

to use it I think you gotta go to /usr/share/doc/bootcd or bootcd-backup and activate whichever script
by cd'ing there and ./bootcd-backup
or similar
haven't used it myself...

why wont remastersys work?
maybe when you upgraded initramfs-tools or live-initramfs got quirked?

I can get that from apt-get or synaptic or thirdy party repository right? I give it a try.

As for Remastersys, nothing got messed up, since I did a clean install instead of just an upgrade. However, I know things changed from what they were in Jaunty due to a post at Remastersys' official forum and the developer said they were working on an update for Karmic.

Basically, the iso image would not boot the OS, when I generated the iso using remastersys.

Okay, I tried both bootcd and bootcd-backup, but neither one started. Maybe I did not, but I could not figure it out. However, I did access the right directory from the terminal.
