Question Logitech keyboard not connecting (Unify software in MS) using Solaar on Ubuntu 14.04

I needed to switch keyboards after my main one started acting strange. The new board is the same model and I know it works. It's a Logitech K350. OS is Kubuntu 14.04 and I installed the repositories for both 12.04 and 14.04 for the Solaar software (this software replaces the Logitech Unity software on Microsoft to pair devices). Now IDK if it loaded the wrong software from the wrong repository (the 12.04) as the command to install is the same for either OS version.

When I try to open the software GUI it just tries loading then disappears. No message or anything. Can having conflicting repositories cause this conflict (install wrong version maybe?)? Does a depricated repository automatically remove itself or get "black listed" or something?

Does anyone know anything about this software?

I tried removing the original install (both repositories were installed at the time) and verified needed repository then updated and installed. The GUI doesn't work again.

Here are the results of the install process

Process 1 (2 repositories present)

Code:
root@machiune:/home/user# apt-get install solaar

Use 'apt-get autoremove' to remove them.
The following extra packages will be installed:

From 15.04 the software solaar is included in the system.

Maybe a upgrade helps.
