Learning Ubuntu


My company that hired me is using Ubuntu. Most of my experience is in SUSE. Can someone recommend a good book for me to learn the Ubuntu server.I would say that I am intermediate knowledge when it comes to Linux.

The thing about books is that sometimes they cost money.

I'd just recommend installing it, trying to do things, and using Google and forums like these when you have questions.

You should check out the Debian documentation. Probably be better than any books you can buy.

Have no idea what anyone would use Ubuntu servers for but do not upgrade to the new 12.04 LTS version in a hurry as there are packages that will not install in a chroot environment.

I think they are working on it but do not upgrade to that untill at least July. Should be stable by then.
