leapfrog and ubuntu

is there anyway to get leapfrog to work with ubuntu. I checked /var/log/messages and got this:

Jan 21 12:52:38 nadyne-desktop kernel: [ 2368.924026] usb 3-1: new full speed USB device using ohci_hcd and address 3
Jan 21 12:52:38 nadyne-desktop kernel: [ 2369.139447] usb 3-1: configuration #1 chosen from 1 choice

so I know it connected then i ran "lsusb" and got:

Bus 004 Device 001: ID 1d6b:0001 Linux Foundation 1.1 root hub
Bus 001 Device 001: ID 1d6b:0002 Linux Foundation 2.0 root hub
Bus 003 Device 004: ID 0f63:0e00
Bus 003 Device 001: ID 1d6b:0001 Linux Foundation 1.1 root hub
Bus 002 Device 001: ID 1d6b:0001 Linux Foundation 1.1 root hub
Bus 002 Device 002: ID 0461:4d08 Primax Electronics, Ltd

all of which are accounted for except entry 3.

fdisk -l gave me this:

Device Boot Start End Blocks Id System
/dev/sda1 * 1 9461 75995451 83 Linux
/dev/sda2 9462 9729 2152710 5 Extended
/dev/sda5 9462 9729 2152678+ 82 Linux swap / Solaris

again nothing useful. can anyone help.

" leapfrog " is a broad term.
Just try to Google it : No precise hits.

So we need more information : The complete package name(s)
and links to where you got it from.

"Leapfrog" as in the educational toy company. That particular USB device is from the Leapfrog Tag (at least it's what showed up when I did the same thing with my daughter's Tag) Product information is at h-t-t-p-:-/-/ www . leapfrog . com / en / families / tag / tag_system / tag_system_32mb . html. There is a thread on the Leapfrog Community site discussing the use of the Leapfrog Connect software under Linux. Ironically, the software is written in Qt, ported for the Mac, some devices use Linux internally, yet Leapfrog stubbornly refuses to port the client software or release the specifications. Typical example of a company that leeches off the opensource community while spitting on that same community when they are endusers.

(sorry for the messed-up URL, this site won't let me post a message with a URL in it.)
