"Leapfrog" as in the educational toy company. That particular USB device is from the Leapfrog Tag (at least it's what showed up when I did the same thing with my daughter's Tag) Product information is at h-t-t-p-:-/-/ www . leapfrog . com / en / families / tag / tag_system / tag_system_32mb . html. There is a thread on the Leapfrog Community site discussing the use of the Leapfrog Connect software under Linux. Ironically, the software is written in Qt, ported for the Mac, some devices use Linux internally, yet Leapfrog stubbornly refuses to port the client software or release the specifications. Typical example of a company that leeches off the opensource community while spitting on that same community when they are endusers.
