Hey,
I've recently migrated from Mandriva to Kubuntu Feisty. All is well, but I'm missing my desktop trash, home and device desktop icons . I'm sure this is simple to solve, so has anybody got any ideas?
Distribution: Ubuntu 7.10 on a System 76 Pangolin Value laptop - sweeeet!

Missing icons
I'd suggest just regenerating them. For the toolbar, just right click and select add applet to panel or add application to panel. Trashcan is an applet. For the desktop, open the K menu and just right click the application and select, "Add item to desktop. Hope this helps. 36964574
Worked out how to do this, so if anybody else is looking:
For trash:
1. Create new text file with kate on desktop
2. Add this to the entry
[Desktop Entry]
Comment=Contains removed files
EmptyIcon=trashcan_empty
Encoding=UTF-8
Icon=trashcan_full
Name=Trash
Type=Link
URL=trash:/
3. Save as Trash.desktop
For devices:
1. Create a new "link to device" on desktop
2. in the command box put:
konqueror --profile devices media:/
3. Choose your icon for this
For home
same as for devices, except
konqueror --profile devices /home/USERNAME
