kubuntu 7.04 upgrade

Hi all,
We all have done crazy things at one time or another,so heres mine..
First I had a perfectly sweet running 6.10 and after a number of super fast patches installed, a window popped up and stated that there was a newer version available and would I like to upgrade?...Well like a dummy I did the fatal mouse click and about an hour and a half of downloading files and then installing the downloaded files another message popped up that there seemed to be a BUG and would I like to terminate the install or continue..I tried to go on but it just sat there lifeless...Ok another window offered the same choices, terminate the install or continue..This Time I selected terminate..Yes you guessed it, the computer failed to reboot again and again..Once It had the Logo of 7.04 but still did not boot..Next time it showed the 6.10 logo but again stalled and even did a fsck check with about fifty errors..I leave you readers to decide the moral of the story..
I have just installed 7.04 from a fresh install but have a lot of work to get it customized the way I like it so thats the way it is..
At this point I wonder if anyone upgraded without incident or was it just me..
Goodluck to anyone who tries it,
jolphil

there shouldnt really be much to getting your settings back if use the same /home directory since they are all kept there?

And i'd suggest filing a bug report at kubuntu bugzilla.

6.10 probably wasnt tested well since 6.06 is their preferred version.
