KODAK AIO scanning help

Looking for a working solution for Kodak All In One's for the scanning function. I've already found the working solution for the print side. My reading tells me that it should be a Sane-Twain crossover.

Anyone found anything like this?

My model is AIO 5500

AIUI, Kodak is not known to be a very Linux-friendly brand. The sane scanner list (link in my sig) shows almost no support for their stuff. There's an untested scsi "scanner 5500" listed there, but I highly doubt that's your model.

And it's really a bad sign when even vuescan doesn't support it. They only show Windows support for the 5500 AIO.

I hate to say it, but I think you're out of luck here.

Edit: It looks like at least some of their models appear to be re-branded avision OEM machines. In which case you might play around with the sane-avision backend. On the other hand, bad driver commands could possibly ruin the machine, so it's up to you if you want to risk playing around with it.
