Keeping other partition mounted
Currently I'm dual-booting windows XP and Ubuntu. I like to be able to access my windows partition regularly, but an annoyance I keep running into is that everytime I restart I have to click on Places -> 46GB Media otherwise any programs that I have won't see the windows partition and can't access it. So is there a way to keep the windows partition mounted all the time so I don't have to keep clicking that everytime I restart?

There's a very handy utility for doing this called Storage Device Manager. Just install the pysdm package with the following command:

sudo apt-get install pysdm
You should easily be able to use it to set your Windows partition to mount automatically in the future.
