kde 4.1 widget disappears on dual head setup

In kde4.1 I added a desktop 'widget' and it worked fine. I then moved the widget so that it would be placed on the second monitor of a dual head setup. It disappeared. I can move other windows back and forth between screens with no issue but kde widgets disappear if not on the primary screen. I suspect this is a bug.
