Just have to say, 9.10 Rocks!

Installed it a couple of days ago and to setup it up was a breeze. MP3 support was as simple as clicking 'yes' to a dialog box when Rhythbox first read an MP3 file.

I'm very impressed. Good job mr ubuntu. Well worth a try!

P.s. NVidia drivers worked perfect, I had a few hip cups with 9.04.

I only really had two issues.

- The repository wasn't updated/usable by default so I had to go in and reload it from synaptic before I could get any software. Simple fix, but it took me a while to understand what was going on.

- No vim by default. Seriously? Along these lines I heard they were planning on dropping GIMP also. Why are they getting rid of such useful software by default?

Thats a little odd, I had no issues with the repositories, maybe ISP's or your location can effect things. Never used vim, coming from windows I always used Visual Studio and so on Linux used the editors of the same ilk, like KDevelop. But have to say, Linux is getting dangerously close to being a viable alternative for the mass market! That would be a great day. I love it now.......

Next time use latest nvidia drivers from the nvidia site. Not only do they give you latest cutting edge features for your card, they also tend to work better than the older drivers in the repo.

I have vim, not sure if it came after I reloaded from synaptic or before.

Anyway, just installed 9.10 today on Dell Inspiron E1705 laptop, looks very neat and a quick install.
