Question it seems all programs want to use an old proxy, i don't use anymore

Well not all programs.
I tried:
Code:
unset http_proxy
And now i can apt-get.

But it seems that it only fixed the terminal stuff. If i try synaptic, ubuntu's add/remove, or just launch transmission to download a torrent, all of them get "couldn't fetch, 4xx response from tracker" or smth similar.

Any ideas?

Perhaps you have it set in System -> Preferences -> Network Proxy?

Nope. I always set my proxy through System -> Preferences -> Network Proxy. So that's where i disabled it in the first place.

Strange thing.. today everything works as it should. My torrents are downloading, i can reload packages in synaptic.. So this should be considered a problem anymore, yet it's kinda interesting what the hell happened ?

Thanks for your response.
