Unhappy installing gcc breaks binary

I installed kdevelop, along with gcc-4... and now, this binary file won't work anymore. The binary is unrebuildable, as it's closedsourced.

Advice?

(I use Ubuntu, and I forgot to update my profile to reflect that.)
