Installing Adobe Digital Edition

I have Crossover (CodeWeaver) on my Ubuntu. I have tried numerous times to install the latest Adobe Digital Edition using Crossover but with no luck. Would appreciate any assistance in solving this dilemma.

The WineHQ search has "Adobe Digital Edition" 1.5,1.6,and 1.7 as "working"
but nothing on 2.0
http://appdb.winehq.org/objectManage...ation&iId=6326

also 2.0 is not flash it is .NET and needs MONO
and MONO is about 3 or 4 versions behind .NET

see:
http://forum.winehq.org/viewtopic.php?f=8&t=17299
and install 1.7

or
install Windows 7

But there are a ton of very good e-book readers that are native to linux

"calibre" comes to mind and might be in the Ubuntu repos
( it is in most )

or see the downlode page
http://calibre-ebook.com/download_linux

do an "apt-get" search

I was able to get the ADE version 1.7.2 installed. I was also able to download onto it a few eBooks. However the one book which I had downloaded and installed the ADE, that was the one that was giving me additional grief. It was an "Adobe DRM Epub" It was suppose to open in my adobe digital edition and from there I was to drag and drop it in my Kobo, which at this time would be connected to my PC. The adobe drm epub onve it was saved became "URLLink.acsm" . I could do nothing with it. At least nothing I tried seemed to be of any help? My options to open the "URLLink.acsm" were as follows: 'Open with Home Folder', Open with a Wine Application', 'Open with Dolphin', and lastly 'Open with other Applcations' . There I tried to find the adobe digital edition which was on my desktop but that option did not show up in the list of other applications.
If you or anyone has some ideas I am all ears..

I now have Calibre on my Ubuntu and I have sent the past couple of days trying to figure it all out. Sometimes my mind is thicker then molasses. i did manage to download a couple ebooks. I would like to set it up to be in a kind of synchronization with my eReaders, that's plural. I have a Kobo WiFi, and one Barnes & Noble Nook Color. I think and I am using the word with some caution, that I have my Kobo set with my Calibre, am not positive? Is it as simple as; if I have my eReader connected to my computer and I open Calibre, it will in turn recognize the eReader. So if I have my Nook Color connected, Calibre will recognize it and vice versa with the Kobo WiFi?
When I had my Kobo connected to my PC, Calibre recognized it. Now, this is going to sound stupid, but what was suppose to happen next? Will it copy the books I have on my eReader to Calibre or is Calibre just for transferring ebooks from Calibre to whatever eReader is connected? I was none to sure of what I was doing so closed Calibre and disconnected my Kobo.
I am going to open Calibre and take a look with no eReader connection, maybe i can figure it out? If not i will probably be bugging anyone for some answers to simple and undoubtedly dumb questions
