install Visor Pro PDA with Ubuntu 5.04
 

hello,
I have just installed from CD the Hoary version (5.04) of Ubuntu. I have a Visor Pro PDA and I'd like to be able to sncy it with my Ubuntu-OS computer. What must I do? The CD-rom that came with the PDA has no Linux/Ubuntu software. What exactly are the steps that I must take? I'm a one-day old baby with Ubuntu, having switched from WinXP yesterday.

Take a look at the Unofficial Ubuntu 5.04 Starter Guide. It's got some instructions for setting up PalmOS devices.

I read that guide. Yes it syncs. But how can we work with the data on the PC? Evolution looks like great software, but it doesn't seem to get the info in the right fields/labels/categories. (I'm thinking just of the Contacts at this stage.) What can be done?
