Install themes in Intrepid

Having read an article on "great new themes for Intrepid and Jaunty", I downloaded a couple. But I cannot find a way to install/use them.

What I have downloaded is a .gz file, filled with other .tar files. The "install themes" button in Appearances does not recognise this file or any files inside it.

So I've got the theme file... but what do I do with it to use the theme? The .gz comes with no READMEs. Is there a directory into which I should place the .gz, or any files extracted from within?

Cannot find any reference to installing themes in Ubuntu Help, certainly not installing them from compressed files.

Find here a list of greate themes for interpid and Jaunty to be installed from the repository

Can you give me the link from where you downloaded that tar files? perhaps will help you to install them

Alas, the link you supplied only applies to Jaunty.

I downloaded the theme from http://www.junauza.com/2008/08/10-be...-intrepid.html - the one I chose was Number 10 on the list, Azel, and I just clicked on the download link below the picture to get the .gz file.

Thank you for your assistance.

Steve
