(initramfs) failure
Hi. Suddenly when I rebooted Ubuntu 10.10 (kernel 2.6.35.28) it took me to (initramfs) prompt.
More errors from up-above: mount: mounting /dev on /root/dev failed. No such file or directory mount: mounting /sys on /root/sys failed. No such file or directory mount: mounting /proc on /root/proc failed. No such file or directory Target filesystem doesn't have requested /sbin/init No init found. Try passing init=bootarg. BusyBox v1.15.3 (Ubuntu 1:1.15.3-1ubuntu5) built-in shell (ash) I tried mounting the sda2 from the liveCD but it just kept on mounting it without any success! Tried fsck.ext4 -f /dev/sda2 but it said: fsck.ext4: Device or resource busy while trying to open /dev/sda2 Filesystem mounted or opened exclusively by another program? Any suggestions? linux yovkoi is online now Click to check your reputation for this post Report This Post |
