Post i want to replace kubuntu (noob)

I am starting to dislike kubuntu very much and i want to replace it with ubuntu or fedora. Can i do this with a live cd or will i have to do it with another method. any help would be great.

You should be fine to go ahead and install any other distro, You may want to backup your personal stuff first.

Your root partition will be formatted and that may include your home directory too (if you only have one big partition for your system).
