Huawei E5377 and Ubuntu, any experience?

Does anyone have experience with using the Huawei E5377 mobile wifi hotspot device with Ubuntu, particularly 16.04? Was it easy to set up? Are there any problems? I'm interested in knowing about both WLAN and USB modes.

Not that particular model but it,s both a router and a WiFi hub. I’m on 3G with a dongle plugged into a router. There are no issues using it with Ubuntu, Mint or any other distributions unless there some issues with the WiFi interface, Check. One other thing. 3G is quick, 12Mb per second. Better than a land line.

I got the Huawei E5377 (or 5377t) and have been using it with Ubuntu 16.04 since Friday (12 August). So far there haven't been any problems. The device has a standard WiFi interface. Like I said, it also has a USB mode, but I haven't used it.
