Howto Network Monitor
 
A "howto" for network monitor IPTOTAL

Introduction:
It's nice to now your network traffic of your WWW or FTP server.
This is simple open your Terminal.

Code: sudo apt-get install iptotal

This command will require your password.

In your WWW dir. you will find a new dir. named IPTOTAL.
Start your browser and type http://your ip address/iptotal/tamplate.html and go to Last 24hr and it's shows a graph.

example: http://rbak.demon.nl/cgi-bin/iptotal/iptotal.cgi

wow, that's very detailed... not exactly a network monitoring hwoto is it? just two commands to install a program on ubuntu. you know there are many many more capable network monitoring tools out there, like ntop, nagios, mrtg, opennms etc... and most of them haven't been dead and dormant for 4 years. :D
