Howto edit side bar Icons in Ubuntu 10.10 Net Ed

I have been testing Ubuntu 10.10 netbook edition. It uses a sidebar where some regular functions can be activated.

I have searched the normal places to configure the icons within this toolbar and I am yet to find a method.

I am still undecided to whether I like the format being used to Kubuntu, but it does seem more intuative.

Any help would be appreciated.

You mean the Unity Dock (or Launcher)? It is on the left side, is that what you mean?

To remove an icon, just right-click it and uncheck the "Keep in launcher" checnbox. To add an icon, just open a program and the icon should open temporarily. Right-click it, and select the checkbox "Keep in launcher".
