How to STOP changing of wallpapers automatically on DHCP on Ubuntu OS

Hi All,

We have been provided with Ubuntu client attached to our corporate network. They keep on changing the wallpapers automatically even if i change one locally by myself. Can anyone suggest what to do so that the wallpaper can not be changed on DHCP.

Thanks in Advance !

first of all, i don't think wallpapers change via DHCP, they CAN be changed via network, especially if home directories are stored on a file server, but i would check with your superiors at your company to see if changing the wallpaper doesn't violate company policy first.

not the answer you're looking for i'm sure, but we're not allowed to help you break the rules.

Check with your IT staff. This would be the best thing to do. They know the system and what it would take and what would fit policy too.

They probably don't bite.
