I have a few usb keyboards and mouse laying around and some moniters and I would like to know if there is free software or a good method of having 2 peple use a computer at the same time. I would perfer not to spend money to do this.
Hmmm! That is a more complicated process than I realized. Here is a more up-to-date explanation. The link in the leading paragraph takes you to a mini-howto using xorg.
If you tackle it successfully, be sure to post your own how-to here.
hmm well I really need a very simple soloution to do this and although the one you gave looked promising I need something more simple. Also I only have one video card with an output and a built in screen. I only want one user not three.
Sorry I took so long to respond I was on a trip. I installed the 2 user thing and although it looks like what i'll want when I rebooted the screen flashes and stuff and eventually the computer just reboots. I cannot use the command line very well so is there a command that will uninstall the software and return my computer to its original state?
