How to Keep Download Packages By Using aptitude?

How to keep downloaded Packages by using aptitude? In Fedora 11, I can keep downloaded Packages by edit /etc/yum.conf and set keepcache=1. Files store in /var/cache/yum

Maybe I'm totally wrong, but I knew that apt-get/aptitude keeps downloaded packages by default. Have you checked under /var/cache/apt/archives? The clean command of apt-get serves to remove the retrieved packages.
