How to install Skype on Kubuntu?
I've searched it up and none of the solutions provided have worked.
Please write an explanation easy enough for a beginner to follow. |
Open the terminal and type:
Code:
sudo apt-get install skype |
Go to the Skye Download page http://beta.skype.com/en/download-sk...-for-computer/
and specify Ubuntu as the distribution. |

http://www.noobslab.com/2012/11/inst...in-ubuntu.html Or see this: http://www.tecmint.com/install-skype...tu-linux-mint/ You can also install Skype from the Ubuntu Partner repository like this: http://www.ubuntugeek.com/how-to-ins...04precise.html https://help.ubuntu.com/community/Skype You can just copy and paste those commands directly from the links above right into your terminal. So install Skype either using the .deb installer from skype.com, or use the Skype from the Ubuntu partner repository. Do not install both of them together. You can enable the partner repository from the software sources app: https://help.ubuntu.com/community/Repositories/Ubuntu https://help.ubuntu.com/community/Re...r_Repositories Note that the installation will be the same on Kubuntu as it is on Ubuntu or Xubuntu. Write back if you need more help with this. |
None of those methods work. I get this result:

I say this because of Error in end of posted image saying you have held broken packages. |
