How do i uninstall kubuntu and xubuntu off ubuntu(edgy)


How do i uninstall kubuntu and xubuntu off ubuntu(edgy)
I used "sudo apt-get install kubuntu-desktop" and "sudo apt-get install xubuntu-desktop" to install, does anybody know how to uninstall?

Just to be sure, GNome was the original install(off the CD/DVD) right? I'm not sure what would happen if you tried to uninstall the *base* gui. If you're in Ubuntu(Gnome)

System/Admin/Synaptic package mgr.

Search for "KDE Desktop" When the search completes, scroll down and find "kde" Description will be "the K Desktop Environment Official modules"....

Right Click/Mark for Complete Removal.

Hit apply at the top and let it uninstall.

I think for Xubuntu, you'll want to find "Xubuntu-desktop" and follow the above instructions.

Haha yes the original install was gnome...
Im assuming u mean in add/remove applications? I cant find it on there?
Any other ideas?

No, I mean what I said, you need to remove the kde/xfce desktop packages, so use package manager, much easier.
