How can I get the gtk-qt engine in ubuntu?

I tried to download the gtk-qt source, but It says I need the X headers... I looked for the X headers in synaptic and I couldn't find them... Furthermore, it doesn't seem that the gtk-qt engine is in ubuntu's Aptitude database at all, unless i'm looking for it under a different name...

Can someone help me get either the X headres or get gtk-qt through Aptitude?

The gtk-qt engine is in universe. You need to enable this in synaptic.

Well, I've already got hoary's Universe apt apps enabled...

Perhaps i'm using the wrong package name...

here's my command and output:

Code:
$ sudo apt-get install gtk-qt-engine
Reading package lists... Done
Building dependency tree... Done
E: Couldn't find package gtk-qt-engine
Isn't the package called gtk-qt-engine? That's what its called in portage... Is it under a different name? I want the engine that used your QT theme in gtk apps...

Code:
apt-cache search gtk-qt
gtk2-engines-gtk-qt - Makes your GTK 2 apps look like Qt ones
Maybe this is what you're looking for.

gtk2-engines-gtk-qt

...did it work for you?
With me (debian sarge, kde 3.3), SciTe fails to launch with it installed. With Firefox, I get better windowframes, but it doesn't solve the persistent graphics problems I have with it..
Even when I purged gtk2-engines-gtk-qt, SciTe wouldn't launch until I'd deleted a couple of associated *rc files from my home directory.
