Horrible picture video files


I get the most horrible picture when playing H.264 files
Looks alittle something like this...

Btw AVI files play fine, I using VLC player

You haven't got Xgl and Compiz installed/enabled have you ? Cos when I tried it under SuSE, it killed my video player i.e. it would play an mpeg file similar to your screenie, but anything windows based was even worse. So I uninstalled the Xgl and Compiz - shame, vvv nice eye candy.

Sorry, can't thing of anything else.
