Please be more specific. what Distro are you using? What you were doing when stop working ...? What king of service do you have, (I'm assume that broadband right)

A quick search reveals that you have a ADSL modem-router.
http://www.dlink.com.au/Products.asp...&Sub2=2&PID=50
If your ISP uses PPPoE to connect to the net, then in Ubuntu you can use pppoeconf to setup your DSL connection. See this:
https://help.ubuntu.com/8.10/interne...dsl-pppoe.html
Also, many DSL modems, like the Westell modems that Verizon uses in the USA, have the ability to enter your DSL username and password directly into the modems configuration. So this way your internet connection is always on and you don't need pppoeconf. Consult the modem's documentation if you can to see if this is possible.
Also, you will have better luck using an ethernet connection to the modem than a usb connection.
Hope this helps.

The OP said he is using Ubuntu. YAST is not part of Ubuntu.
