Grub Error 21
Hello all, new to the site and Linux. I just installed Ubuntu on my computer today, and looking forward to making a full Linux switch. Getting tired of Microsoft!
Anyway, I got Ubuntu installed and rebooted the system. On boot up I got and error saying "Grub loading, please wait..... Error 21" My details. I installed the software on one of my two sata drives (1= 75 gb). I have the sata's raided together, so it looks like a 150 gig drive. I still have Windows XP Pro. installed on my IDE 80 gig. I have already looked into the bios and it still sees the two drives. Does anyone have any solutions for this? I have been searching around on here and google trying to find my problem. Not having a lot of luck finding the fix. Thanks ahead of time! |
Sorry to post again so quick. I just checked my BIOS again and the SATA's are not showing up.

Just for future reference. I found out what my problem was. BIOS was not recognizing my SATA's drives, so I had to have BIOS automatically detect them. Things still did not make sense at this point because BIOS was not labeling the drive correct until I rebooted. Once I rebooted the Error 21 went away and a list to load Ubuntu and Win XP Pro came up. Everything is working fine.
