I am having problems with my Ubuntu OS.... again :P
this time is simple to explain, Gnome wont boot... it just show me the cursor and the pale orange background (doesnt even show the wallpaper) and thats it... doesnt do anything from there... not via GDM and not via StartX . no error signs no nothing. Now heres what happened before that:
Yesterday I started apt-get dist-upgrade and left it overnight.
This morning I did a restart, as the OS asked me, (first I tried restart X but he kept asking so I made a general restart). then it loaded, I started configuring Fusion and browsing the internet when suddenly my comp froze, which is very wierd since I got a fairly powerful computer and I see no reason why it should freeze... its the first time Linux freezes on the new comp). i was forced to press the restart button and afterwards Gnome simply wont boot
I wanted to try and use KDE but when I logged in the font size is so terribly small I cant read anything, I dont know where to make it bigger... but then again even if I would have known its too small to see!
And thats pretty much the prob... So anyone knows what the hell I should do?
Thanks
Edit:
nvm... Uninstalled Gnome and reinstalled it.... all the confs are gone but atleast it works
only the KDE Prob left
