I am currently working on a project that requires me to connect to a remote MySQL database. However when I run the instructions on Ubuntu Guide. I keep getting this error

I have followed the instructions in the guide to add extra repositories. Is there a particular repository that I need to add that is not in the guide? What else could I do to make this work?
