full back up to dvd

Looking for some spoon fed info folks.
I have spent days getting zoneminder running on 8.04 . Had a myslq crash after a power flicker and it scared me silly.
I want to know how I can create an ISO of the whole system as is now configured and running and burn it to a dvd that can be popped in and re installed.
Thanks for any help with this.

Install Mondo Rescue and use it to make a bootable backup.

I don't know about dvd but if you have enough hardware resources you can virtualise your physical machine. Once that's done you can snapshot it etc. so if the worst happens recovery will be much quicker than from iso.

You could also use the live CD install Partimage. Then image the drive. Then burn this to DVD. You could then recover the same way.
