flashing padlock in elyssa


Anyone else seen this, with no solution?

I have done google search and linuxquestions search, but with no answers as of yet.

information is the following

* Launching mintUpdate in root mode
starting refresh
auto-refresh timer is going to sleep for 30 minutes, 0 hours and 0 days

it just keeps flashing and nothing happens....

I had the same experience yesterday. The update path seemed to be off-line. I right clicked and turned off ("quit") the update. Then I did a sudo apt-get update and restarted the mint update and it ran fine after that.

It has fixed itself, that is what I like about MInt, it seems to kind of do or fix something that may be broken on its own.

So, today it is not flashing, I clicked on it to bring up the update, and refreshed it. Only update was xulrunner for Mozilla, Firefox and Thunderbird.
