firefox flash plugin problem

Hi everybody!

I have just installed my first Ubuntu and i can tell that it's the easiest linux installation i have never seen. Also the system rest with the essencial SW to work with it and there is no more needs to most of the users. Also you can configure the sources.list to get the all universe SW, and then you can access to the rest of debian aplications. It's really wonderfull.

But...

I have experienced a problem trying to set up the flash plugin. If I have it installed and i try to access to any flash page firefox crash,... well it doesn't crash exactly, it rest hanged off. I I uninstall the plugin then firefox works fine but i see the need to flash plugin installation. If i try to install the plugin pressing the button that appears in the browser, the searching plugin window rest hangued too.

If somebody know what is it happening and/or how to fix the problem, I would be thankfull is he or she tell me.

Thanks.

the problem is fixed. I ahve added some new repositories and then i can install porpoerly the plugin. Also the automatic plugin installation shown by firefox when it's needed for a flash page.

Have you check this link to tune your UBUNTU ???

Hi mate! I'm happy you to find this link usefull. Somebody tell me in linuxquestions (frimann i think)
It's the best page to test the internet connection at the first Ubuntu installation, because there is the easiest way to tune your ubuntu. Also it's explained how you don't have to modify the sources.list, since i think you can say in the synaptic current session which repositories to look for. Universe,Multiuniverse and to add another.
I think that when you use something as Ubuntu you have to search the most automated method, since it is though for that and if you have to go to some text configuaration file and touch waht there are there it's because something it's not good in ubuntu and it have to be fixed.
If you want to hack and play with your system, i recommend you to install SARGE.

what a quote does mean ? It's to register a comment in anywhere? in this case.. where and by what?
I usually see it at IRC too....

Have a nice day
