File to wakeup the system for hibernation like resume.sh ??

Hello,
I am trying to write a script that switches the system to hibernation automatically at a particular time and again wakeup after some fixed amount of time.
I found that at /etc/acpi there is a hibernate.sh but i cudn't find resume.sh .

Can anyone please tell me is there any resume.sh or like that file in ubuntu ??

The problem is what would cause the machine to wake up. If the system is truly hibernating then there is no activity to measure the amount of time. If you have support you could try to get the bios to wake the machine up at a certain time. I believe that there are some that support that.

Yup, I believe, like *666 wrote, you'd need to use something hardware-based to awake the machine at some specific time, or if there's such a feature, after xxx elapsed time. So, if your machine has a programmable RTC (real-time-clock) which can awake the machine, you need to look into that.
My BIOS has a feature that I can set a time of day when the machine turns on automatically if it is off, but I'm not aware if I can program that from the OS or not..
