Failed to sertup X server - ubuntu 7.04
 

Hi everybody ! :)

i have installed ubuntu 7.04 and currently running it from the CD, i have installed it but i have a problem with my graphics drivers. I have a NVIDIA GeForce 7950 GX2, its a SLI card but all in one. when i try and boot from the hard drive i receive a error message stating....

BCM43XX: Error microcode "bvcm43xx_microcode S.Fw Not availible or load failed.

the i get a screen from X server stating the following problems...

failed to setup X server

fatal server error - no screens found

failed to load module "NVIDIA" module does not exist.

I have installed the driver, well ubuntu installed it for me, and i have tried enabling it in the restricted drivers window with no success. I have also tried manually configuring the X-server window by entering the details of my card, to no success either :confused:

Any help is much appreciated !! :)

dpkg-reconfigure xserver-xorg
also, what is your name of your driver?
also can you post your xorg.conf
