Error message when trying to install ubuntu

I am trying to load Ubuntu for the first time on one of our spare servers at work. My BIOS is set to boot from CD and I slot in the bootable disk.
I get the Ubuntu splash screen, select Install, it starts loading the kernal then I get this message:

Uncrompressing Linux.......ok, booting the kernal
(17179572.4440001) ..MP-BIOS bug: 8254 timer not connected to IO-APIC

Any ideas what this means?

Thanks Craig.
