Unhappy error in downloading packages using terminal


when i m trying to download multiget package using
sudo apt-get install multiget

i m getting this (few last lines)


Failed to fetch http://us.archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu/...2.0-1_i386.deb Could not resolve '10.1.1.4.net'
E: Unable to fetch some archives, maybe run apt-get update or try with --fix-missing?


plz help me out

Did you already the suggested "apt-get update"?

i m unable to do any update through terminal..
i hv edit some file wrong bit i forgot which one???

Welcome to LQ, varun_agwl - for your information, please select the one best forum for your post and don't post duplicates (or triplicates, etc.).

Can you ping the site? Maybe try to change your... I forget what it's called, but the list of servers you download your stuff from. That may be the file you edited in the first place?
